PH FTA status
Overview of Status
Overview information on FTAs by status (in effect, signed, concluded, under negotiation,renegotiation).
FTAs in Effect
This refers to an FTA that has completed all legal processes and is officially in effect. At this stage, tariff reductions and trade barriers are partially or fully removed, and the agreement's benefits are now being implemented.
Signed FTA
An FTA that has been officially signed but has not yet completed the domestic ratification processes in each country. This is a pre-implementation stage, and the agreement will become effective once all legal formalities are finalized.
Negotiating FTA
This status indicates that an FTA is currently being negotiated between governments. At this stage, the specific terms and conditions of the agreement are being discussed, but the agreement has not yet been finalized or signed.
Proposed FTAs
This refers to an FTA where negotiations were previously stalled or interrupted and have resumed. In this phase, discussions continue based on prior talks, to reach a finalized agreement.
